Why 15 minutes a day IS your Time Management System!
Below is what I call The Inspired Teacher Morning Routine. Implement these steps below into your day and I guarantee your life will be powerfully impacted. You ready?
Step One: Each day (preferably first thing in the morning) intentionally carve out at least 15 minutes and do the following 3 exercises in this order:
- Meditate: Give yourself the space to meditate for 2-5 minutes.
- Read out loud and then write your BIG VISION each morning.(write it in your calendar, in a journal, on a piece of paper. Somewhere. There is POWER in reading and writing this goal each day. Don’t forget to write it in the present tense. or MORNING PAGES
- Visualize yourself in the present fully living one of your goal. How do you feel? How are you showing up in your day? How are you reacting and being with other people through out your day. How does your body feel having this goal acheived.
Review your Day- still on your terms (you still have not picked up your phone or looked at email)
Now, when you create your ‘To-Do’ List for the day, make sure the majority of your tasks on your list are DIRECTLY related and aligned with achieving your VISION. If they aren’t then it’s a good sign to eliminate or delegate that task from your day.
Finally, prioritize your list: After you created your list, go back and write either an A, B, or C next to each item.
A= Must get done today
B= Should/could get done today but can also wait to get done sometime this week. But it does need to get done this week.
C= doesn’t need to get done today or really this week, but if it does great! If not, it’s okay to move it to later.
How does that feel? Ready to try on the Inspired Teacher Morning Routine this week? I’d love to know how it goes for you so please comment and let me know!
